Vision/Mission Statement:
To empower & encourage people to exalt God by utilizing their vocal and musical gifts, making holy joyful noises unto the Lord, thru diversity of songs, to set the atmosphere for praise and worship, and to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit.’

Music provides an opportunity for worshipers to turn their hearts to God and pay homage to his greatness and glory. Music prepares our hearts for our encounter with God and his Word, it also provides a model for worship which includes an instruction to sing. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:12-17.

Worship has been described as a celebration of God’s mighty deeds and His faithfulness to His people. Because of what God has done for us – He has loved us, saved us, blessed us, kept us – and is still doing, we owe it to Him to offer our tributes of corporate worship. “Worship is an offering which the entire congregation gives to God in gratitude for his unlimited love gifts to humankind; the ‘sacrifice of praise’ includes congregational music and other materials contributed by gifted and trained vocalists and instrumentalists’ I Chronicles 16:8-36

There are several ways other CTC members help to support our ministry. As song leaders in the worship service, the choir seeks to encourage, edify and motivate the worshipers in our local church body to send up praise and worship the Lord “in spirit and in truth” (with our whole heart) that “the glory (presence) of the Lord might fill the temple of the Lord” 2 Chronicles 5:14, whereby believers may be strengthened to go out and win the lost, and whereby non-believers may be convicted to follow Christ.  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.
